Trudy

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved, five time employee of the year, Trudy Everett.

Trudy came to us years ago, recovering from numerous ailments, unsure of if her demise was near. With the healthcare plan we offered, and with help from a family friend, we brought her back from the brink of death to live a longer and much more prosperous life.

Trudy was a crucial member of the Everett Family Creations Team. She was an inspiration to the design processes we used to make our business a success. Here she can be seen taking her mid morning break. Trudy was the only employee exempt from time limits on naps.

Trudy would oversee day to day operations in the wood shop to ensure smooth operations and maximum efficiency. Her lack of hearing saved us money on the bottom line since she was the only employee who did not require hearing protection.

After the wood shop closed its doors, Trudy retired. Cashing in on her retirement benefits for being the best girl, she would take a much needed trip to the beach and felt the sand under her paws for the first time in her life. A much needed escape from the daily grind of being a shop foreman.

Trudy was the ultimate giver of love, not just to us but to her friends alike. Here, she can be seen giving a ride to her pal, Butters.

In Summary

From near death and destitute, to living her best life, Trudy gave us her best years. And we were fortunate to get to have that time with her. I think we all are a little bit like Trudy in a way; broken down, and needing a little help. Dogs teach us so many things, teaching our hearts to love while also, at some point unfortunately, teaching us loss.

Not all dogs get to have the success story Trudy has had. Some dogs will never feel the love they are deserving of or find that home they have so desperately needed.

Trudy passed away yesterday, October 3,2023, in the comforting arms of her family. The place she enjoyed being held the most. In lieu of flowers, for Trudy's sake, please donate to your local animal shelter, pet rescue, or humane society like the Shelby County Humane Society. Please adopt, don't shop. There is a Trudy out there somewhere for everyone if they would just check their local animal rescues.
